Lost Alien & Fantasy Realms

Lost Alien & Fantasy Realms

Thank you for all that you do! I have a weird one here. I recently just watched Atlantis the Lost Empire and immediately wished I had a Stony version. I’m looking for fics that have Steve/Tony meeting a lost/unknown civilization that just happens to have an eager to meet newcomers Steve/Tony waiting to show him around. Basically Stony doing the whole “meeting and falling in love with the alien, saving their people/planet” thing. Like “Here Be Dragons” by MemoryDragon. (lol hope that makes sense)

That’s an interesting ask!  Hmmm, well, probably the Dystopia recs would have something kind of similar. I did find a few that I think fit your ask and then some others that just sort of felt like they might be something you’d like.  So, anyway, here you go!

Here Be Dragons by MemoryDragon:
Tony Stark has come far from his adventures with Marvels, fighting the
long War with no end in sight.  When he’s shot from the sky, he finds
himself in an underground utopia and a city of dragons.  One dragon in
particular reminds Tony of what it’s like to live again, but can he save
the city from the monsters that lurk below and above?

I See the Universe in Your Eyes by MiniRaven:
An alien lands on Earth and Steve is part of the military team assigned
to meet them. He expects it will be either a peaceful encounter and
completely uneventful, or a invitation to intergalactic war. What he
doesn’t expect is to be swept away by the beauty of the universe.

Waking the Dragon by tsukinofaerii: Since humanity first started spreading across the land,
pushing dragons back by sheer numbers, tensions have been high between
the species. War is nearly endless, and Prince Tony, the half-human heir
of the dragons, is sick of it. When King Howard of the dragons is
poisoned, the fate of everything sits in the balance. In desperation to
save his own life and to prevent decades of fighting over the throne,
Tony sets off to find a cure. Down in the foothills, Legati
Steven of the human army finds himself with a missing friend and
assassin, a suspiciously cagy adviser to the ruler and a desperate need
to be less interesting. In the interests of scuttling his own
career, he starts on his own mission to find his answers. When he runs
into Tony, they discover just how complicated things really are.

Living Fossils (in Fine Feather) by @massivespacewren, @veldeia: In the final year of the war, Captain America
disappears on a mission, but instead of the ice, he ends up carried by
dolphins to an island of living dinosaurs. As it happens, that’s exactly
where the adventuring inventor Tony Stark crash-landed on his airship
when he went missing seven years earlier.(Story can be read
without any knowledge of Marvel Noir or Dinotopia; the POV character is
Steve, who doesn’t know anything about them, either!)

I Want You To Fly by @trickyarchangel:
Steve, Bucky, and Sam are on a trek through a jungle when Steve
encounters the lost Tony Stark. Torn between his familial
responsibilities at home and helping Tony integrate back into
civilization, Steve leaves Tony in a hospital’s capable hands and
returns home with his friends, but a story never ends that quickly.

Dragon and Captain by MountainRose:
Steve was warm.
Wasn’t that what freezing to death felt like? You got warm, stopped worrying about it? fell asleep?
But that wasn’t right, because he was waking up. And he wasn’t just warm, he was hot, sweating even–
He could BREATHE!
Steve
drew a deep, gasping breath, the air hot and sharp and painful on his
lungs. He coughed it back out, and then drew a second, and a third. The
world swam and moved, swooping around him, his body dangling like a
string-less puppet from something hot and soft, curled around his chest
and cradling his head.
He should open his eyes, really–
Dragon.

Adamant by whizzy:
Anthony Stark, Lord of the city of Mainhett, undertakes an expedition to recover the lost shield of a legendary paladin.

Constructs in Progress by Muccamukk:
In the seven territories built out of the ruins of New York City, no one
has managed to match Tony Stark as either a technologist or a unicorn
rider. But when Tony’s secrets come back to haunt him, even Captain
Rogers and his mysterious lover might not be able to save him, or the
city.

(features Nat/Steve/Tony)

Cold Nose, Warm Heart by AnonEHouse:
Tony Stark’s been raised by Arctic wolves after an abortive kidnapping
when he was three. Thirteen years later he discovers a frozen super
soldier and tries in his wolfish, wordless, way to convince Steve to be
his mate. When this fails, and it’s obvious Steve can’t survive as a
wolf, Tony makes the sacrifice of returning Steve to civilization— but
Tony didn’t mean to get dragged back, too!

Free Floating In Space by vassalady:
Tony runs a small salvaging business in the backwater territory of Outer
Centaurus. When scavenging a long abandoned space station leads to an
unexpected find, it begins a long journey for Tony, Steve, and the rest
of the Iron Bird crew as they stand on the edge of war.

Saga by Teyke:
Tony falls into the closing portal, but he doesn’t make it out the other
side before it snaps shut. Trapped in a universe where time runs oddly
when mortals blink, and accompanied by a Not-Quite-Dead Steve Rogers,
Tony mouths off to a goddess of death, goes cross-dressing with Thor and
Loki, and learns to hate Asgardian engineering. Oh, and he may have
caused the end of the universe as they know it.

Luminosity by @captainshellhead, vibraniumstark: The Avengers organize a two month mission to
investigate an anomaly in space that appears to be engulfing planets,
Steve is worried about leaving Tony alone, and Hawkeye is just worried
about being left behind. But then something goes wrong. Steve drags
himself out of the wreckage of their ship, on a planet that shouldn’t
exist, the Avengers are missing, Iron Man is torn to scraps, and Tony
has a lot of explaining to do.Or, in which Steve has no clue that Tony is Iron Man, and it takes crash-landing on an alien planet for him to find out.

The Heart of the Temple by @captainshellhead, vibraniumstark: After an expedition to find an ancient relic goes awry,
Tony finds himself magically bound to a Roman soldier who has spent the
last two thousand years guarding the temple, and who is now bound to
protect him from harm.Stranger things have certainly happened, but Tony is having a hard time coming up with them now.

Diamond in the Rough by carzla:
In response to the disturbing increase in activities of the cult
organization, HYDRA, the War God has sent a missive for his followers to
take action. Captain Steven Rogers, a paladin in the War God’s ranks,
is sent with a fellow cleric, Margaret Carter, on the quest to slow down
HYDRA’s noxious spread. They encounter the notorious warlock, Antonius,
who joins them on their north-bound journey. Antonius is more than any
of them had expected and holds secrets that have yet to be discovered.
And HYDRA… HYDRA may just have the only weapon that could cripple the
good paladin.
