Steve Misjudges Tony

Steve Misjudges Tony

Hi, first of all thank you for following me and likeing my art. It
really means a lot for me that someone like you like it. 😀 I love your
works. And your masterlists. Can I ask you for list of fics where Steve
on the beggining mistreats Tony (becouse of misunderstanding or things
he heard about him or other reasons) but then he notices how good and
selfless Tony is? I would be really grateful! And sorry for my English.
Love you and your works!

You are most welcome!  Glad you are enjoying the recs.  Here
are some suggestions for you of fics where Steve initially misjudges Tony.  You should also check out the Self-Sacrificing Tony recs!  Enjoy.

DON’T LET YOUR AUTHORS MISJUDGE HOW MUCH YOU LIKE THE FICS BY FAILING TO LEAVE COMMENTS AND KUDOS!

A Love Hate Relationship by kitteekatz69:
Tony Stark never revealed to the world that he was Iron Man. Steve
Rogers had feelings for Iron Man, but thinks that Tony Stark is a jerk.
When Iron Man is wounded during battle, Steve finds out who Iron Man
really is.

Less Like a Feather, More Like a Stone by tiddlersinajamjar:
Steve Rogers doesn’t like Tony Stark, at least he thought he didn’t. That was until he saw Tony fall from the sky.

Never Too Late for Love by @sineala:
Steve has always believed that a soulbond is a blessing
– a rare and beautiful miracle, joining the thoughts and feelings of
two people forever, from the first time they touch. Steve knows he’s not
going to be one of the lucky ones. He knows Gail isn’t his soulmate.
But he loves her, even if they’re not soulmates, and he’s going to do
right by her. After the war’s over, he’s going to marry her, and they’re
going to settle down. They’ll buy a house. They’ll have children. He’ll
see his family again. Maybe Bucky will live next door. It’s going to be
a good life. He doesn’t need a soulbond. He’ll be fine without one. Then
Steve wakes up sixty years in the future to find that his
wonderful life has moved on without him. His family is long dead. His
fiancée married his best friend. And the only purpose he has left is
leading the Ultimates, a misbegotten team of superheroes with flaws too
numerous to count. Steve hates everything about the future – but most
of all he detests Tony, flashy and flirtatious, who embodies everything
Steve hates about a world he never wanted to live in.And, oh, yeah,
Steve has a soulmate after all: Tony fucking Stark.

Down to Zero by @sineala:
After a battle against the Controller goes awry, Steve is bewildered and
guilt-ridden when Tony begins to treat him exactly the same as he
treats everyone else.

7 Things Steve Found Out About Tony Stark & the One Thing He Found Out About Him by romanoff:
Steve likes Tony. Tony likes Steve. They just don’t know it yet.Steve
goes on a voyage of discovery for his favourite billionaire. It doesn’t
quite go as planned.Seven one-shots from the lives of Tony Stark and
Steve Rogers and how they fell in love. Aww.

How to be a Truly Terrible Wingman by @wordsplat:
Prompt: “We were both playing wingman for our friends who have now
decided to go home together, and after five minutes of conversation we
fucking hate each other. Let’s bang it out.”

Wednesdays are Awful (Except When They’re Great) by @wordsplat:
Steve and Tony despise each other, so Nick’s natural solution is to
force them to spend one hour a week together in a mandatory bonding
session no amount of shouting, swearing, or physical violence will get
them out of-though they certainly try. Also known as that time Steve and
Tony did everything as ass backwards as humanly possible.

You Look a lot Like My Next Boyfriend by @lelantusposts:
“Pepper, today I met my arch nemesis.”
“Again? Really? Is this another Justin Hammer situation?”
—
“I
don’t hate him, Buck. He’s just some rich kid that’s being forced to do
charity work by his dad. It just pisses me off that he doesn’t actually
care. You know how much stuff like this means to me.”
—
Or:
A Steve/Tony College AU. Tony attempts to “reform” his public image by
doing charity work. Steve volunteers at said charity. They meet and kind
of hate each other. Then, somehow, they end up friends. And one day
Tony realizes he might be a little bit in love with Steve, which
wouldn’t be that bad if Steve weren’t pretty much straight. Next comes a
bet, a kiss, a minor sexuality crisis, a secret relationship, and a
whole lot of boys being stupidly repressed about their feelings.

Iron  Man Unavailable, Tony Stark in Trouble by navaan:
After what happened in New York the Avengers with the help of Tony Stark
are trying to become more independent. The team has grown together and
for Steve Iron Man is a big part of that, although he has some trouble
getting along with his employer. Then Steve faces a bit of a mystery
when Tony Stark gets kidnapped – and Iron Man, who is supposed to be the
man’s bodyguard when he’s not an Avenger, is nowhere to be found.

Semaphore by DevilDoll:
“I’m trying to like you, Tony. You’re just making it very hard.” Steve Rogers/Tony Stark

A Higher Form of War by sabrecmc:
Tony is a King with a surprising number of people out to kill him.
Steve and the rest of the Avengers are fighting for Pierce’s rebellion
and end up with Tony as their prisoner.  Oops.Basically one of those
bodice-ripping romance novels I don’t read (ahem) but with far more gay.
