Arranged Marriage

Arranged Marriage

hey could you rec any stony arranged marriages? w/ happy endings please

sabrecmc-archive:

The problem here is that a lot of Arranged Marriage AUs get started, but not so many end up completed.  Here are a few, though, and hopefully, more authors will be inspired!

PLEASE REMEMBER TO LET YOUR AUTHORS KNOW YOU LOVE THEIR STORIES!  ESPECIALLY ON WIPS WHERE THEY NEED ENCOURAGEMENT!

Every Goodbye and Hello by sarcastic_fi:

Howard dies leaving emotional scars on son Tony Stark and close friend Captain America. He also leaves a Will, the clauses of which force Tony and Steve to consider a marriage that neither had ever envisioned.

Looking for Heaven by foxxcub: When young Lord Anthony Stark learns Steven Rogers has enlisted in the army, he thinks he’s seen the last of his tiny, headstrong, haughty stable boy. But four years later, Lord Stark gets an unexpected visit from Steve, whose mother has fallen gravely ill and into financial ruin. Even more unexpected, Steve agrees to a shocking proposal: they will marry, giving Steve the necessary funds to save his mother, and Tony the much-needed reprieve from harassing would-be suitors. It is a business arrangement, nothing more. But as time goes on and circumstances arise, Tony begins to learn that keeping his heart away from his husband is easier said than done. (Not technically an arranged marriage, but there are so few, I’m including it)

The Life and Woes of Mister Anthony Edward Stark, Inventor Extraordinaire by Kairin16:

The story in which there are robots who are not imaginary, a whole mass of steams and tumblers, and a lot of useless cravats. Alternatively this is a story in which Anthony Stark grows from wannabe mechanic into an inventor extraordinary, finds a group of friends along the way and is maybe a little miffed for this whole arranged marriage business.

And, of course, Celestial Navigation by your dauntless fic-wrangler here.  I actually have so many Arranged Marriage ideas that I would love to write one of these days.  We really do need more of this, and Steve and Tony work so well in that trope!

If anyone has more suggestions, please feel free to add them.
